The Beautitudes
1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
2. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
3. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied.
5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
6. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
8. Blessed are those who suffer persecution for justice's sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
സുവിശേഷഭാഗ്യങ്ങള്‍
1 ആത്മാവില്‍ ദരിദ്രര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം അവരുടേതാകുന്നു.
2 എളിമയുളളവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമായി അനുഭവിക്കും.
3 ദു:ഖിതര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ ആശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടും.
4 നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചു വിശപ്പും ദാഹവും സഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തൃപ്തരാകും
5 കരുണയുളളവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവരുടെമേല്‍ കരുണയുണ്ടാകും.
6 ഹൃദയവിശുദ്ധിയുളളവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ ദൈവത്തെ കാണും.
7 സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രരെന്നു
8 നീതിനിമിത്തം പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം അവരുടേതാകുന്നു.
