Fourteen Works of Mercy
a) Seven Corporal works of mercy
1. Feeding the hungry
2. Giving drink to the thirsty
3. To clothe the naked
4. To shelter the homeless
5. To visit the sick and the imprisoned
6. To help the poor and the needy
7. To bury the dead
b) Seven Spiritual works of mercy
1. Instructing the ignorant
2. Giving counsel to the doubting
3. To give comfort to the afflicted
4. To admonish wrong doers
5. To forgive offences
6. To bear patiently with others
7. To pray for the living and the dead.
കാരുണ്യപ്രവര്‍ത്തികള്‍ പതിനാല്
a) ശാരീരികങ്ങള്‍ ഏഴ്
1 വിശക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കു ഭക്ഷണം കൊടുക്കുന്നത്
2 ദാഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കു കുടിക്കാന്‍ കൊടുക്കുന്നത്
3 വസ്ത്രമില്ലാത്തവര്‍ക്കു വസ്ത്രം കൊടുക്കുന്നത്
4 പാര്‍പ്പിടമില്ലാത്തവര്‍ക്കു പാര്‍പ്പിടം കൊടുക്കുന്നത്
5 രോഗികളെയും തടവുകാരെയും സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുന്നത്.
6 അവശരെ സഹായിക്കുന്നത്.
7 മരിച്ചവരെ അടക്കുന്നത്.
b) ആദ്ധ്യാത്മികങ്ങള്‍ ഏഴ്
1. അറിവില്ലാത്തവരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്
2. സംശയമുളളവരുടെ സംശയം തീര്‍ക്കുന്നത്
3. ദൂ:ഖിതരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്
4. തെറ്റു ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ തിരുത്തുന്നത്
5. ഉപദ്രവങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നത്
6. അന്യരുടെ കുറവുകള്‍ ക്ഷമയോടെ സഹിക്കുന്നത്
7. ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും മരിച്ചവര്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നത്
